The Society published its own scientific journal Acta Biologiae Experimentalis
since 1937. The journal title changed to Acta Physiologica
Polonica in 1950, and to the Journal of Physiology and
Pharmacology in 1991. Since 2000, all articles published
in the journal can be downloaded free of charge from the journal
website: www.jpp.krakow.pl.
The Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology is listed in Sc Search®,
Research Alert®, Current Contents®/Life Sciences,
Index Medicus/MEDLINE, EMBASE/Excerpta Medica.
An official Journal of the Polish Physiological Society, Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, is currently one of the highest ranked scientific journals in the Central and West Europe. According to the Journal Citation Reports 2003" (Philadelphia, ISI, 2005) Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology received an impact factor = 2,804.
Besides regular issues, the Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology may
publish supplements of symposia proceedings and monographs on
physiology and pathohysiology in English. A novel initiative
was an issue of historical supplements In English. The idea
was to popularize the achievements of polish scientists active
in physiology and sister sciences. The first historical supplement
entitled "Polish Historical Traces In Gastroenterology" was
issued in 2003 (J. Physiol. Pharmacol. 2003, vol. 54, Supl.
